KVH: "Sweets and colorful treats, in Holzhausen, the fun really starts!"
The Holzhausen Carnival has a long tradition. Since the 1980s, Carnival with a program has been taking place in Holzhausen. Today, it is considered a small carnival stronghold in the heart of North Hesse. Every year, on the weekend before Rose Monday, session president Axel Becker and up to 120 active participants present a colorful program of superlatives on Friday and Saturday evenings. Various groups, including guard groups, come up with something new each year to delight the audience. The KVH is particularly proud of its youth, who contribute in various ways and bring a lot of joy. In 1997, the first prince couple was proclaimed, and each year it remains one of the best-kept secrets who will be the new prince couple. This secret is revealed only on Carnival Friday in the festively decorated and fully occupied community center.
