6. LONG NIGHT OF INDUSTRIAL CULTURE – Thu., September 3, 2026
For centuries, the Salzkammergut region has been shaped by industry and craftsmanship; it is part of our culture and reaches far back into the past. With the Long Night of Industrial Culture, you have the opportunity to get to know participating companies!
This year, the Long Night will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, when industrial companies, museums, and training centers will open their doors to registered visitors. The Long Night of Industrial Culture allows interested individuals to gain a unique insight behind the scenes of industry from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on this one day, experiencing it up close.
AN EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
For the Long Night of Industrial Culture, companies and museums provide insights and open their doors. Through presentations, guided tours, walks, product demonstrations, dialogues, and more, students, job seekers, tourists, locals, and generally interested people will experience authentic industry up close and immerse themselves in industrial history.
The companies and museums will be complemented and musically supported by the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks Gmunden, which will put together a unique music program.
