Matinee - "The Muse in Negligé"

On February 15 at 11 a.m., the Cultural Association of Schärding invites you to a special matinee. The soprano Christa Ratzenböck, born in St. Ägidi, will perform with tenor Martin Mairinger and Daniel Linton-France on piano, featuring pieces by Franz Lehár and Richard Tauber such as "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" and "Oh Donna Clara." The program will also include provocative poems from the sharp-witted pen of the satirist Löhner-Beda, described by Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz as the "combat-ready knight of words."

Christa Ratzenböck studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and attended the master class. She was, among other things, a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Linz State Theatre. She has performed in opera houses in Basel, Düsseldorf, and Zurich. Numerous engagements have taken her to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Budapest, Berlin, Prague, and the Theater an der Wien. Since 2022, she has been teaching at the Private University of Klagenfurt.

The lyrical tenor Martin Mairinger completed his master's degree in solo singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with distinction. He has performed in countries including Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, as well as South Africa, China, and Japan. His repertoire spans from Baroque to modern works.

Daniel Linton-France studied piano and conducting at the Mozarteum. He has held positions as a study director and conductor; during this time, he conducted over 40 different musical theater works of all genres. As an assistant, he worked at the Bayreuth Festival and the Salzburg Festival. Since 2018, he has been teaching at the Institute for Opera and Singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
