Development of a Piece Against the Fear of the Dark Age: 3+ A guest performance by the Landestheater Tübingen When day gives way to night, when the light in the room goes out and shadows dance across the walls, a tingling sensation runs down the neck. A shiver runs down the spine. The heart beats throughout the body. And a discomfort, a fear grows: What is hiding in the dark? What are those noises? Did something just move? Is someone else here? Is there a monster lurking under the bed? Behind the dresser? Or is everything not as it seems? Can the dark even be a friend? Equipped with flashlights, the ensemble of the Young LTT gathers all its courage to take the step into the darkness for its youngest audience. Curious and cautiously, they feel their way through the gloom and explore the eerily vast play of light and shadow until they realize that only in the dark does luminous beauty reveal itself.
