Open House Day at the State Teaching and Research Institute for Viticulture and Pomology (LVWO) Weinsberg

The State Teaching and Research Institute for Wine and Fruit Growing (LVWO) Weinsberg will open its doors to visitors on March 29, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM. The event will showcase how education, research, and practice interact in wine and fruit growing. During guided tours, interested visitors will gain insights into the cellar, the distillery, and the breeding work of LVWO Weinsberg. Greenhouse tours will provide additional insights into ongoing experimental and breeding activities.

Colorful Program
In the courtyard, the team from the State Winery Weinsberg will be waiting for you. The wine shop will open at 11:00 AM. Visitors are warmly invited to taste the wines from the State Winery on-site. A wide culinary offering will be available. The accompanying program includes live music and a ballet performance. The day will also feature various enjoyment and craft stalls with food, sweets, and regional products. For children, there will be a pedal tractor course on the open house day. The event is part of the state initiative "Transparent Production" of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
