Durlacher Fair 2026

Every year around the third Sunday in September, the parish fair – or "Kerwe" – takes place, which can look back on a tradition dating back over 400 years. In 1991, the Durlach local council transferred responsibility for organizing the Kerwe to the Durlach and Auer Associations Working Group, which gave the aging event a new concept and successfully revived it. Since 2002, the Kerwe has been organized and hosted by the Karlsruhe Showmen's Association. Tradition and modernity: Baden conviviality at the Durlach Kerwe From September 19 to 22, 2025 (September 21 is a Sunday shopping day), it's time once again for culinary delicacies and Baden joie de vivre at the Durlach Kerwe against the historic backdrop of Karlsburg Castle – and that's not all. In addition to grilled specialties such as the Baden Lange Wurst sausage, steak sandwiches, and the typical Kerwe meal (potato sausage with sauerkraut), this year the Kießling family will once again be serving light and naturally cloudy Pilsner, wheat beer, sweet Radler, and several other varieties from the Waldhaus private brewery. The Weingarten wine cooperative is also new to the festival, and those with a sweet tooth will be in good hands at the crêpes stand or Süßwaren Filder. In addition to rides and face painting for the little ones, there will be a colorful musical and cultural program on the stage in front of Karlsburg Castle.
