A Ballet Dream: "Swan Lake"
The International Festival Ballet presents a fairy tale of beauty, elegance, and grace. A perfect work of art with live orchestral accompaniment.
The International Festival Ballet presents one of the most famous ballets set to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake." "Swan Lake" is synonymous with ballet for many. The romantic tale of the young prince Siegfried, who falls in love with the swan princess Odette and seeks to free her from the evil spell of Duke Rothbart, is a story about the power of true love.
This ballet piece is part of the standard repertoire of all major companies. In particular, the Allegro Moderato from the swan dances of Act 2 is the subject of countless parodies in the choreography of Lev Ivanov and is widely known as the "Dance of the Four Little Swans," reaching audiences far beyond ballet enthusiasts. In short: a brilliant work by a brilliant composer and a crowd-puller for centuries.
"Swan Lake" is brought to the stage by one of the best classical ballet ensembles, the International Festival Ballet. Furthermore, the magnificent set design by the genius theater designer Vyacheslav Okunev, who has worked for the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg and La Scala in Milan, along with beautiful costumes and the boundless elegance and carefree lightness of the ballet ensemble, create a dreamy and fairy-tale version of a classic ballet that continues to fascinate even after over 100 years.

In the new season, the International Festival Ballet presents yet another special jewel of classical ballet: "Swan Lake."
The immortal ballet classics of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky are known worldwide and enchant people of all ages. Everyone knows the romantic story of "Swan Lake" with the white and black swan, which has become synonymous with the elegance of classical ballet at the highest level. The centuries-old sleep of Sleeping Beauty, from which only the love of a prince can awaken her, has captivated audiences for generations. And the story of the ballet "The Nutcracker" offers the perfect winter and Christmas magic for the whole family. The unique performances of the International Festival Ballet bring beloved ballets to life in enchanting beauty and perfection.
Classical ballet has a long tradition in Eastern Europe, which is still upheld today. The renowned ballet schools are known for their high standards and strictness, and the students for their determination, ambition, and enormous talent. The 42 dancers of the International Festival Ballet have also gone through this rigorous training, whether at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Academy of Choreography, the ballet school in Ufa, or the ballet academy in Perm in Russia, as well as ballet schools in Kyiv or Kharkiv in Ukraine, or even at Italy's La Scala or France's Grand Opera. They have all worked at the most important ballet theaters in Europe and won numerous awards at international ballet festivals and competitions. Together, they have become one of the most aesthetically and technically successful ballet companies not only in Europe but also worldwide as part of the International Festival Ballet. In addition to absolutely precise dance technique, this ballet stands out for its harmonious and coherent overall picture and elegant lightness.
