Buntspecht makes pop music with poetically idiosyncratic lyrics and lovely acoustic arrangements. Their songs are characterized by "a dystopian romance, a radically wild beauty, an insane intensity, as well as a sincerity and artistic freedom that is hard to find these days." The sextet does not settle for anything less with their DIY attitude. And the beautiful thing is: The band from Vienna doesn't overstate their ambitions. On the contrary. With their current album "Konstrukt 5," released in 2025, their sixth, they recently entered the German charts. A few years ago, Buntspecht graced the Poolbar Festival for the first time. And even back then, it was clear: We absolutely have to see them again!
