For over 30 years, the Donots have been rocking the stages. And over the years, these stages have steadily gotten bigger: At festivals like Rock am Ring, the German punk rockers are welcome guests, and for their own anniversary open-air concert celebrating their 30th birthday, they sold all 12,000 tickets in no time. Their tours take the quintet, led by frontman Ingo Knollmann, to sweaty clubs and halls, and they have long ventured into European countries beyond the German-speaking area. Yes, the Donots have made it to the top of the R'n'R circus. The reputation of an energetic live band always precedes them. With "Schwert aus Holz," however – or precisely because of that – the first unplugged album of their career is now ready: old hits in acoustic form along with two new tracks.
