District Music Festival 2026

From June 20 to 21, 2026, Großschönau will be all about brass band music! The youth brass band of Großschönau is hosting the 2026 district music festival of the Lower Austrian Brass Band Association – District of Gmünd, including a marching music evaluation.
The district music festival is one of the largest brass band events in the region. Numerous music bands from the Gmünd district as well as from wide parts of Lower and Upper Austria are expected – along with many visitors who will enjoy the special atmosphere of this festival.
On Saturday, you can look forward to a varied program featuring the marching music evaluation in different groups, where precision, music, and show take center stage. Following this, "die Marchviertler" will provide excellent entertainment.
Sunday starts off leisurely with a lively brunch, musically accompanied by the music association Tullnerbach. Look forward to a great atmosphere, socializing, and a relaxed conclusion to the festival. Food and drink will be well taken care of on both days!
