With the new program "Senses," pianist Reinhard Micko impressively presents his interpretation of modern melodic jazz.
The quartet "Reinhard Micko & Friends," featuring Karl Sayer on double bass, Harry Tanschek on drums, and Herb Berger on saxophone, brings a breath of fresh air to the Austrian jazz scene and captivates with harmoniously flowing interaction. Micko's new original compositions convey atmospheric and humorous stories in a very personal sound.
Samir Köck writes in the daily newspaper "Die Presse": Micko has acquired a form of lightness that is rare in today’s often overly earnest jazz. He trusts his intuition.
