Drawing Workshop for Adults
Fanni Futterknecht begins by presenting her installation-based long-term project "Doodling is an Act of Protest," which she has been working on since 2020. In her work, she understands doodling as an expanded form of writing – as a collective act of resistance as well as a performative, physical action. The body and space are consciously included to explore drawing together as a form of social communication. As the artist states: "What cannot be said in words can be doodled!"
On long rolls of paper and with graphite and colored pencils, we will bring our impulses, movements, and feelings into our own visual language. Doodling relaxes – and collective doodling creates connection, a shared sense of rhythm, and even a unique soundscape. Art is created in the process!
No prior knowledge is required: Participation, experimentation, and shared experiences are the focus.
