Dirty Thursday in Pfullendorf

The fifth season has a long tradition in Pfullendorf. The highlight of the Carnival begins on "Schmotziger Donnerstag" (Greasy Thursday) with the awakening of the Schnellergilde, the liberation of schools and kindergartens, and finally, the storming of the town hall. In the afternoon, the fools' tree is erected, and in the evening, the Hemdglonker parade takes place through the old town.

5:00 AM - Awakening by the Schnellergilde throughout the city
8:30 AM - Kindergartens and schools are liberated by the fools
10:30 AM - 15th Oxen Harnessing - a festive competition among the Pfullendorf schools, followed by a youth party in the guild room
11:00 AM - Storming of the town hall - The fools take over the city authority
2:30 PM - Erection of the fools' tree - "Laugehexle schnappa für'd Narresamen"
6:30 PM - Grand Hemdglonker parade with the highly esteemed district court. Meeting point at the Upper Gate.
Evening - Pub Carnival and storytelling.
