With "Max and Moritz – There's something brewing!" director Fatih Şentürk brings Wilhelm Busch's timeless classic to the stage in Vienna for the first time in a modern adaptation by Bernhard Studlar. The starting point is the well-known pranks of the two mischievous boys – but this production takes it a step further: it expands the familiar world with new characters, surprising perspectives, and a clear stance on the present.
Humorous, fast-paced, and with a keen satirical eye, the play tells of authority and resistance, conformity and nonconformity, community and the courage to stand out.
