Sound and Color

On the occasion of the Bruckner Year 2024, individuals with disabilities from the institute "Beautiful for Special People" (Kirchdorf/Micheldorf) have artistically engaged with Anton Bruckner and his works. In the "Sound and Color" classes, Bruckner portrait overpaintings were created, where the originals were completely reimagined and individually designed. The subject "Sound and Color" offers inspiration and support for free, creative expression in drawing and painting under artistic guidance. Talented individuals with intellectual and multiple disabilities pursue their creative abilities in the studio every two weeks and experiment with new techniques. Many of the artworks exhibit a special artistic expression, a love for color, movement, and a fascination with the materials. The music in the studio indirectly influences the creations, often resulting in paintings that reflect the music itself.
