The topic of the face deals with seeing: between showing and becoming recognizable in relation to truth/identity, as well as hiding behind masks of the persona in the theater of society. It concerns human and worldviews from the various perspectives of the self (the own) and the other (the others).

In this eternal theme of facial recognition, the storm of new and latest social technologies (social media, TikTok), as well as audio-visual automatons, devices, and apparatuses, drives under the vast digital landscape, beneath algorithms and big data of hyper-cyber tech.

In the lecture, some of the countless images will be projected. Regardless of whether those depicted scream with pleasure or pain, whether they present smiling love, blatant hatred, or naked fear, all representations are comical (comix). The words of the lecture will pose some critical questions directed at the audience regarding the images. Admission is free.
