Opening of the Summer Exhibition

The Museum in the Einlegerhaus is dedicating this year's summer exhibition to the renowned sculptor Jakob Adlhart, who is considered one of the defining artistic personalities of the 20th century. Among his most famous works are the iconic masks of the Salzburg Festival and the expressionist cross from 1925, which made him "overnight famous" and can still be seen today at the Kolleg St. Benedikt of the Archabbey of St. Peter in Salzburg. In Obertrum, selected works from his extensive oeuvre will be presented – including the original model of the Obertrum church altar and the model of the fish sculpture that now stands in front of the Obertrum primary school. The exhibition also highlights Adlhart's special connection to Obertrum, which is shaped in part by the local patron saint, Saint James.

The festive opening will take place on Sunday, May 17, at 2:00 PM at the Museum in the Einlegerhaus in Obertrum am See. Everyone interested is warmly invited!
