Karen McDawn Trio: Country Music Straight from the Heart
Passion, talent, and unwavering humor – that’s Karen McDawn!
Since 2009, she has been a prominent figure in the Austrian country music scene, captivating audiences with her powerful voice. In 2025, she will be awarded "Singer of the Year" by the Austrian Country Music Federation.
After her training in singing, dancing, and acting in Vienna, she realized her dream in 2009 with the German country label "Amazing Records" and released her first singles "How Do You Do?" and "Cajun Hoedown." She has toured not only solo but also with bands like Seven Loons (CH), Rhythm 4 Boots (A), and The Buffaloes (A) across Europe. In 2020, her debut album "To The Moon And Back" was released, recorded entirely in Nashville and Atlanta. It showcases her unique style – classic "country-rock-pop."
Of course, she brings her own songs, as well as some covers from modern country music, sprinkled with a few classics.
Since 2011, she has been joined by Californian beach boy Steve Criss, whom she calls the "best bandleader in the world." The trio is completed by guitarist Markus Pranz, the "biggest" in the band, and together they fulfill the mission of "three-part harmony" in country music with excellence.
