LINE POINT I LINE POINT - Judith P. Fischer

Line and Point - two terms that describe the focus of Judith P. Fischer's exhibition: the interplay of drawing and object, of line and point. The line - in the form of pencil drawing - forms the foundation of all the works. The point - the object or sculpture - condenses the respective theme and brings it, quite literally, to the point. Starting from the classic pencil drawing, Judith P. Fischer's works develop in different directions: sculpturally, installation-wise, and drawing-wise. The object or sculpture serves as the central medium through which the artist has been engaging with themes such as community, togetherness, and relationships since her studies in sculpture. In doing so, the artist always orients herself to the space. The works respond to it, shape and change it - they enter into a dialogue with their surroundings.
