On this evening, the narrative, chamber music aspect takes center stage, while the music does not lack the fiery drama characteristic of tango. Heartbreakingly beautiful scenes are described, as well as those of great sadness. But before these tip into the affected, a good dose of bitter irony keeps the poetic balance in check.

Alejandro Guyot lives and works in his hometown of Buenos Aires. He gained recognition from the late 1990s with the ensembles 34 Puñaladas, later known as Bombay Buenos Aires. In 2021, he released the solo album "La Guerra es Adentro" and the novel "Sangre," a black comedy. He participated in Piazzolla's "Maria de Buenos Aires" at the Opera National du Rhin in the role of the spirit El Duende. In Buenos Aires, he leads a Canto Tango class at the conservatory.

Elbi Olalla, who has lived in Barcelona since 2019, comes from the western Argentine city of Mendoza, which has a rich and specific tango scene. Since the turn of the millennium, Olalla has infused this scene with new inspirational energy through the band Altertango, as well as at festivals and innovative workshop projects.
