Tango Sensations – Bach Piazzolla Villa - Lobos Saluzzi

In this concert, two soloists from different genres come together to present solo works on their instruments, before uniting with the music of Astor Piazzolla, which forms the centerpiece of the program. Astor Piazzolla, a brilliant bandoneon player and an extraordinary composer, brought the tango from the suburban bars of Buenos Aires to international concert halls, without stripping the dance of its authenticity or soul. From the once-mocked and despised music, he created a significant form of contemporary art. Among other works, his most performed piece "Las Quatro Estaciones Portenas" and the famous and profoundly moving late work "Five Tango Sensations" will be performed, which brings to life the entire oeuvre of tango genius Astor Piazzolla once again.
