Thunder Road – a Bruce Springsteen evening in Wernigerode

Bruce Springsteen is one of the greats of international rock music. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and over 130 million records sold make the Oscar winner and 20-time Grammy Award recipient one of the most successful musicians in the world. For decades, he has thrilled a loyal audience with his legendary E Street Band. Songwriter Daniel Schmidgunst explores the stories behind Springsteen's songs and his journey from a working-class child to a rock icon in his program "Thunder Road." With his intimate and stripped-down performance, he consistently demonstrates why he is considered one of the most authentic Springsteen interpreters. He and his two musicians, Marie Birkholz (sax) and Andreas König (key), require nothing more than a microphone, guitar, keyboard, and saxophone.
