Guidance to the palms in the winter quarters

Experience the impressive green landmarks of Bad Pyrmont in their winter home. When temperatures drop in November and the large palms get cold feet, they move into the historic palm houses in mid-October – a true highlight for plant lovers. This winter, the palm houses will be illuminated with special lighting effects for the first time on this occasion. From November 8, 2025, to March 28, 2026, you have the opportunity to visit the majestic palms in their warm sanctuary every Saturday at 10:00 AM. Please note that there will be no tours on December 27, 2025, and January 3, 2026. The tour starts promptly, so we kindly ask you to arrive on time, as participation after the start is not possible. In the two oldest and largest palm houses in Bad Pyrmont, you can expect around 250 palms. Under the expert guidance of our gardeners, you will learn not only how the valuable plants of the state spa are cared for, but also where they come from, how old they are, and many more exciting details.
