Playing the Ukulele: Rediscover the Joy of Making Music We all long for more joy and variety in winter. The seemingly gray season (though North Sea gray is probably the most beautiful shade of gray!) is often dreary and tinged with a hint of sadness. But not here! We bring the theme of "joy" to our ukulele workshop. When you play the ukulele, you can't help but smile and laugh, it's so much fun! Dare to try something new. Do something you've never done before. The Structure of the Ukulele Workshop on Juist For three days, you'll learn something completely new! Playing the ukulele is trendy. Some well-known musicians play with these "little guitars," creating music with a fresh flair. The weekend from Friday, February 7th, to Sunday, February 9th, is themed "Dare to Try Something New and Expand Your Horizons." With a lot of joy and playful approaches, you'll learn the first chords with one or two fingers, as well as finger positioning, transitions, and various strumming techniques. The focus of the workshop is to teach you the basics of song accompaniment and improvisation in a short time. You'll play everything from evergreen classics to canons, hits, and modern songs that come your way!

All Information about the Ukulele Workshop on Juist
Schedule: From Friday, February 7th, to Sunday, February 9th, the first Juist Ukulele Workshop with the wonderful title "Joy in Winter" will take place in the seminar room at the House of the Spa Guest. For three days, you’ll look forward to learning the ukulele and feeling the unbridled joy that music brings. The Ukulele Workshop on Juist will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Your course instructor, Astrid, will gladly bring the ukuleles. If you discover a new passion during the workshop, you can also purchase "your" ukulele on-site. By the way: No prior knowledge or ability to read music is necessary. Good news for all beginners!

Cost: 160 € per person, including ukulele rental for the workshop duration. Please book your ticket online.

Course Leader: Astrid Hauke is a well-known name on Juist. As a mindfulness coach, she has been here several times and has inspired her workshop participants. Her creative, joy-filled personality, combined with her empathy, has deeply touched many people. Musically, she lives and loves the accordion and, of course, the ukulele! Her enthusiasm for playing is contagious. She explains things in a way that everyone understands and wants to join in! Astrid is our ideal candidate to lead the ukulele workshop!

Individual Coaching: Your course instructor Astrid is happy to offer individual sessions during the workshop-free time. Please inquire on-site for an appointment. The cost for individual coaching is 70 € including 19% VAT, payable directly to the instructor on-site.
