Owl Finds the Beat – The Theater Concert

She is blue and yellow, loves music, and has now fully arrived in German children's rooms: Owl, the coolest mediator of musical adventures, is on a grand exploration journey. With enormous success! Since the release of the debut audio play by Charlotte Simon, Nina Addin, and Christina Anders, the four Owl albums have sold so well that the creators have received the gold record twice and a platinum record. Since 2016, the unsuspecting Owl has also been on stage in the production by Christina Anders and Cristiana Garba, delighting children and parents alike. Around 100,000 visitors across Germany have already celebrated a theater concert party with Owl. Even Owl's patron Rolf Zuckowski attended the production and was impressed: "Little OWL, very big! THE STORY
The little Owl, a true music novice, lives in a forest on the edge of the city. Like many children, she cannot imagine how immensely diverse the world is. One evening, when she is awakened by beautiful music, a magical journey begins for her. Still musically green behind the ears, Owl dives into numerous genre worlds thanks to many enlightening encounters. She meets eight animals, each of which, just like their favorite music, couldn't be more different. For instance, Owl meets the rock mole at a festival campsite or gets a catchy earworm from the pop fly. The punk cat, the reggae parrot, and the electro bat all have their own ideas about what an ideal piece of music should sound like. The hip-hop rat spontaneously starts a freestyle rap, the jazz pill bug raves about old music legends, and even the opera moth has, like all the animals in this story, her very own beat.

THE PRODUCTION
One can look forward to a dynamic production in which five actors not only slip into various animal roles but also take to the instruments as such. And who would want to sit still when the hip-hop rat drops a fat freestyle or the punk cat jumps around the stage in pogo style? Music moves. The body becomes the instrument of expression for what it feels. This should not only be evident in the performance of the actors but also apply to the young audience, who will repeatedly have the opportunity to actively participate – whether through dancing, singing, or screaming. In favor of a production that explores the boundaries between theater, music, and party, both the stage and the audience area become the scene of the action. "We hope that the children really groove along and take the beat home as a souvenir." The duo is celebrating its first theater direction with the production "Owl Finds the Beat."
