Finally, Oesch’s die Dritten, who have long been superstars of folk music in Switzerland, are embarking on their first major tour in Germany with their new program and their new CD "Händmade." They will present their most famous songs as well as tracks from the new album. Oesch’s die Dritten stand for one thing above all: folk music is heart music! One of the secrets of the family from the Swiss Bernese Oberland is the intergenerational composition of the group: siblings Melanie, Mike, and Kevin Oesch perform on stage alongside their parents Hansueli and Annemarie Oesch, making folk music as if it were the most natural thing in the world. They are complemented by accordionist Urs Meier. The family tradition began with the "Trio Oesch" founded by Hans Oesch. His son Hansueli continued it with his wife Annemarie, and when their three children joined, thus forming the third generation, the group named themselves Oesch’s die Dritten. The success story began in the 1990s. Oesch’s die Dritten achieved their breakthrough in 2007 by winning the newcomer competition of the Musikantenstadl. Their CD from that year, "Jodel-Zauber," remained in the Swiss charts for months and reached double platinum status. Since then, the 27-year success story of Oesch’s die Dritten has been unstoppable, with over 2000 concerts and performances in 15 countries, and a total of 16 released albums, of which 7 have been awarded gold, 2 platinum, and one even double platinum. Not to forget the PRIX WALO, which the group has received four times. Melanie Oesch, regarded as the best yodeler in the world, captivates audiences with her unique vocal technique and an engaging stage presence as the lead singer. She has impressed even Helene Fischer with her talent, leading to an invitation to reinterpret her biggest hit "Atemlos" together on Fischer's TV show. Annemarie, who is not only the second singer but also plays the accordion, and Hansueli, the master of the "Schwyzerörgeli," form the musical foundation. The sons Mike Oesch on bass and Kevin Oesch on guitar create the perfect rhythm section. They are supported by Urs Meier, a perfectionist on the accordion, who, as a trained accordion maker, has a unique approach to playing.
