Guided tour along the historic Bornhardtstraße in Zellerfeld

Embark on a historical journey along Bornhardtstraße and discover a wealth of interesting facts and history. Until 1789, silver coins were minted in Zellerfeld from Upper Harz ore. 190 years after the dissolution of the mint, a new beginning was made in the same venerable rooms. The former Zellerfeld mint has become a cultural and tourist center since 1979. The glassworks, brewing academy (beer brewing), brewery inn, glass bead game, unique jewelry, natural textiles, and other artisans have found a home here. The path takes you from the old mint to the historically significant Bornhardtstraße, featuring the Calvörhaus, the residence of the chief mining master Daniel Flach (1673), the Upper Harz Mining Museum, Thomas-Merten-Platz, the richly decorated mountain pharmacy (since 1674), the unique St. Salvatoris Church, the miners' carillon with its artistic movement, and the former old town hall in Zellerfeld.
