Bike Tour "The Mittelland Canal - the Longest Waterway in Germany"

The Mittelland Canal is the longest artificial waterway in Germany. It is over 320 kilometers long and connects many cities between the west and east of the country. Those who cycle along the canal experience nature, technology, and history all at once. During this bike tour, participants will learn how the canal was built and why it is so important for ships and people. Along the way, there are many exciting places to discover – from locks and bridges to special structures along the route. The tour is easy to ride and offers many beautiful views of the water landscape. It combines outdoor activity with interesting information about the canal and life by the water. A guided tour with Dagmar Eynck, who shows how lively and diverse this waterway is – an experience for everyone who enjoys cycling and exploring. Registration is possible up to three days before the respective date. A roadworthy bicycle is a prerequisite for participation. Children are only allowed to participate when accompanied by an adult. The length of the tour is approximately 30-35 km, with a duration of 3 to 3.5 hours. A short stop will be made at a nice country café (if possible).
