Battle of the Teutoburg Forest: With Sword and Shield

Equipped with authentic clothing and weaponry, a Roman and a Germanic warrior take visitors into the exhibition. The tour focuses on the equipment and combat techniques during the time of the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. How were the Romans and Germans equipped, and what advantages and disadvantages did the various weapons have? What combat techniques were employed and why? And how do we actually know all this so precisely? In smaller demonstrations, the Roman and the Germanic warrior provide insights into the techniques and training of the former adversaries. The program lasts 90 minutes and costs €5.00 per person, plus admission.
