Museum Hameln | Exhibition Uli Stein "Have Fun at the Museum"

The protagonists in his cartoons are once again mice, pigs, penguins, cats, dogs, frogs, snakes, and vultures. Not to forget: Erwin and Martha, the two cucumber-nosed representatives of the human species with fried egg eyes. Uli Stein began humorously drawing pictures—both with and without text—in the late 1960s. This laid the foundation for the unmistakable Uli Stein cartoon style. In the following decades, several hundred book volumes were published, which together found more than 14 million readers. For the first time, his cartoons will be displayed at the Museum Hameln until the end of June 2026. The exhibition features more than 100 exhibits to marvel at. In addition to many funny images, some quirky inventions, special graphic works, original drawings and sketches from his early creative period, as well as merchandise and books by the artist invite laughter and smiles.
