"Weltklassik am Klavier - Appassionata - and Memories of Norma!" The concert begins with Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, Volume II, No. 14 (BWV 883). The beautiful melodies of the prelude, along with the dynamic rhythm, harmony, and articulation of the fugue, serve as an introduction, comparable to an aperitif, adding a diverse and interesting color to this concert. This is followed by Mozart's Sonata in D major, KV 311, which, with its characteristic purity and plasticity typical of Mozart, announces the true beginning of the concert. The first part of the concert concludes brilliantly with the interesting motifs and beautiful melodies and harmonies of Chopin's Second Scherzo. The second part begins with Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata, which flares up majestically and passionately. The highlight of the concert is ultimately Réminiscences de Norma, in which Liszt musically reimagines Bellini's opera Norma.
