Happy family celebration: The Peine Easter fountain shines in colorful decorations!

Every year at Easter, the Historical Market Square in Peine once again becomes a lively meeting point when the traditional Easter fountain will shine in full splendor. This popular spring highlight will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. on the Historical Market Square and will symbolically mark the beginning of spring. The custom of decorating the Easter fountain has a long tradition, dating back to 1909. As in every year, Peine Marketing, together with a municipal daycare center, will create a cheerful and family-friendly program to celebrate the decoration of the Easter fountain in Peine. This year, the Regenbogen daycare center from Rosenthal will actively participate in the event and enrich it with a lot of creativity. Once the Easter fountain season is officially opened by Peine's Deputy Mayor Elke Kentner, the children will enthusiastically dedicate themselves to decorating the fountain, adorning it with hundreds of brightly painted and lovingly crafted Easter eggs.
