School Theater Week

City Theater Peiner Festsaal, From June 8, 2026, to June 14, 2026, School Theater Week Theme "Healthy Earth. Healthy Children" From June 8 to June 14, 2026, the first School Theater Week will take place in the Peiner Festsaal, to which we would like to invite all school theater groups, courses in performing arts, and theater clubs in the Peine district to participate. This project is funded by the proceeds of walk4help - an initiative of the United Kids Foundations. Students are encouraged to express themselves artistically, dramaturgically, and performatively on the stage of the historic city theater with the FOCUS theme "Healthy Earth. Healthy Children." Young people are deeply concerned about the state of our planet, and rightly so. Future generations depend on today's effective climate protection measures to grow up healthy. A healthy earth is the great utopia and requires commitment from all of us; it demands renunciation, consideration, a change in consumption behavior, and protection for the vulnerable, such as children. However, health encompasses much more than just a healthy nature. Interpersonal interactions, family structures, financial and social capital, and education are also part of it and provide points of departure for theatrical engagement. We look forward to school theater productions from all types of schools and grade levels. The various school theater groups should also be able to connect with each other and exchange experiences. Participation in the School Theater Week therefore includes presenting one's own performance as well as attending other performances. It is not about delivering a perfect performance, but about the shared experience of theatrical possibilities. The duration of the performance corresponds to the creative capacity of the respective age group. For the lower secondary level, the performance duration is approximately 40 minutes, and for the upper secondary level, approximately 60 minutes. Have we piqued your interest?
