Christiane Jimenez works as a passionate costume designer at the renowned Hannover Opera House. Every day, she dedicates herself to the challenge of transforming the imaginative designs of costume designers into unique theatrical costumes. Her range of materials is impressively versatile: from fine textiles to extraordinary materials such as plastics, leather, and metal, everything finds its place in her creations. Each of her costumes is tailored individually to the artists, ensuring they not only impress visually but are also comfortable to wear. Alongside her work in the theater, Christiane is intensely devoted to her second great passion: painting. From still lifes to landscapes to abstract themes, her works are as diverse as her experiences on and off the stage. She is particularly inspired by the colors and scents of Provence, her second home. Every year, she enriches herself with impressions and materials from the theater festival in Avignon, whose vibrant atmosphere she incorporates into large-format collages. In her artistic compositions, Christiane combines acrylic and oil paints with festival posters to create works that capture the joyful hustle and cultural diversity of France's largest theater festival. While she follows strict guidelines as a costume designer, she enjoys the freedom in her painting to define her artistic goals herself. Yet both activities share a common thread: her work as a seamstress and her experiences in France seamlessly flow into her art, with the stage of the opera house reflecting on the canvas. Christiane Jimenez's paintings transport viewers into a world full of colors, scents, and flavors of the South. Let her art inspire you and embark on a visual journey into the enchanting scenery of Provence.
Petra Hübner, a talented self-taught artist, discovered her passion for oil painting over a decade ago. Since 2010, she has been painting in a dedicated artist group in her hometown of Hannover, and since 2020, she has enriched an artist community with her own studio. Here, she unfolds her artistic versatility in an inspiring environment. Hübner's works are an exciting fusion of the abstract and the concrete, possessing an emotional narrative power that invites the viewer to adopt a new perspective on the world. The artist draws her inspiration from a dynamic interplay of ideas, impressions, and experienced coincidences. These elements flow into her compositions, which oscillate between realistic and blurred representations, often in a harmonious mix of colors that reflects the diversity of life. Her painting reflects a deep creativity—a controlled letting go, where colors, thoughts, and impressions enter into a harmonious dialogue. For Hübner, painting is not just a means of expression; it is a path of self-discovery and exploration. The theme of "feel good" is a matter close to Petra Hübner's heart. It represents her passion and the exciting aspect of not having to explain everything, but rather finding and expressing the essence of the moment in balance. In her works, she evokes a sense of well-being that invites the viewer to discover new emotions and embark on a journey within. Petra Hübner brings fresh air to the art scene in Hannover and beyond with her innovative approach and narrative images. Her oeuvre is a must-see for art lovers looking to be inspired by emotionally rich and interpretative artworks.
