After a fulfilling career as a dedicated art teacher with 40 years of service in education, Brigitte Behrens has been intensely pursuing her passion for painting since 2015. As a self-taught artist, she began her artistic journey and followed her own creative interests. During her teaching career, she imparted the fundamentals of art to students in grades 7 to 10, demonstrating her deep roots in the artistic field. Brigitte Behrens has acquired a wide range of techniques through courses at the adult education center, Kunstfabrik Hannover, and Artes Travel. She is skilled in working with acrylic and watercolor paints and has refined her abilities in various drawing courses. In 2020, during a time of global upheaval, she discovered painting with soft pastels—a medium that has since become the focus of her work. Brigitte Behrens finds particular inspiration in the pastel works of prominent artists such as Karl Hagemeister, Martina Zingler, and Tony Allain. These influences are reflected in the intensity and expressiveness of her own pieces. Her art is characterized by a sensitive yet powerful use of color that uniquely captures atmosphere and emotion. Continuous education with Martina Zingler has enriched her creative process and deepened her understanding of pastel painting techniques. This dedication and relentless pursuit of artistic perfection led to significant solo exhibitions in 2023 and 2025, where 27 of her pastel paintings were presented to an enthusiastic audience. Brigitte Behrens' work is a vibrant example of the unbroken drive for expression and creativity that extends beyond retirement. Her artworks are not only an expression of her personal development but also an invitation to see the magic of colors and forms through her eyes.

Käthe Thielke, a remarkable artist, discovered her passion for art after decades in a structured and numbers-oriented professional world. What began as a small watercolor play at her kitchen table evolved into an impressive artistic journey. Her growing enthusiasm and relentless pursuit of innovation led to the establishment of her own studio, where she now explores a rich palette of techniques and colors. Käthe Thielke's creative journey is characterized by an insatiable curiosity for the unknown and the limitless possibilities of art. She dedicates herself to experimenting with acrylic paints and various surfaces, drawing inspiration from both the latest developments in the art scene and everyday materials. Her work is a testament to the freedom she finds in art—always in search of new discoveries rather than repeating what has already been achieved. In addition to her own artistic endeavors, Käthe Thielke is an active member of the board of the artist group "Artes Wesera." This community of artists in the Weserbergland is known for its professional standards and strong network. Since 2010, she has shared her passion, knowledge, and experiences by leading a painting group and organizing successful exhibitions. Her home community also benefits from her commitment, particularly through the management of the regionally renowned "Klostergarten Marienau" and her active support for events organized by the "Dorfgemeinschaft Marienau." Käthe Thielke is not only a talented artist but also an inspiring personality who shares her joy of creation and her vision of artistic expression with others. Her work in the region is a shining example of the enriching power of creativity.
