Hunteburg Christmas Market

The Hunteburg Christmas Market begins on the first Advent Sunday with a festive service at 11 AM, which marks the start of the Christmas market that opens at 12 PM. In a lovely atmosphere around the church tower, a small but charming Christmas market is set up. Handicrafts, nativity scenes, handmade goods, and delicious treats that are regional and fairly traded will be offered. There will also be plenty of food available. Pea soup, coffee and cake, fries and bratwurst, pizza, mulled wine, and delicious hot chocolate, among many other items, will be on the menu. The accompanying program will feature music for young and old, along with pony rides provided by the Hunteburg Riding and Driving Club. Kindergarten and school children, as well as the Bohmter children's choir, will sing Christmas songs. The brass choir will play with full sound, and in the glow of the campfire, our Hunteburg night watchman will visit the Christmas market. A special highlight will be the church illuminated from within, a reflective place inviting visitors to relax during the Advent season. In the late afternoon, the Hunteburg business community will again raffle off Hunteburg vouchers. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased at the Christmas market (and in advance at Kiebitzmarkt and Melli's flower shop). The finale will be the auction of the Christmas tree decorated by the children. The proceeds will benefit the kindergarten and school support association.
