Multivision Show "Scandinavia"

Midnight sun and polar night, wild untouched landscapes, rugged coasts, picturesque fjords, thousands of lakes, romantic forests, a unique wildlife, Sami culture, and impressive cities with a Nordic flair. All of this makes up the magic of Scandinavia. For many years, Sandra Butscheike and Steffen Mender have been drawn back to the far north time and again. For their presentation, the photographers and filmmakers spent an entire year traveling through Norway, Sweden, and Finland in all seasons. They accompanied the oldest passenger ship in the world along the Göta Canal and drove their VW van up the Norwegian coast to the Lofoten Islands and the North Cape. The two enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the Scandinavian cities and were able to observe bears, musk oxen, and moose in the wild. In Finland, the photojournalists paddled for a week through the island labyrinth of the Saimaa region and attended the World Championship in Wife Carrying. In Lapland, the duo gained insights into the art of knife-making from a German emigrant and learned a lot about Sami culture and reindeer herding from a Sami family. They also laced up their hiking boots several times and explored Jotunheimen and Senja on extensive day tours. During a 140-kilometer trekking tour through the untouched landscapes of Padjelanta National Park, the photojournalists admired the unique autumn colors in the far north of Sweden. In winter, they drove 7,000 kilometers over snowy and icy trails in their van, and spent a week dog sledding through the impressive mountain scenery of Kungsleden. North of the Arctic Circle, the polar night creates very special lighting moods. From September to March, goosebump moments are guaranteed when the Northern Lights dance across the sky.
