At the start of the dark season, Worpswede shines in a very special light. During the Worpswede Lantern Festival, the large parking lot on Bergstraße transforms into a walkable light maze made up of over 1,600 candles. Traditionally, the festival begins with a lantern walk led by the children of the Worpswede elementary school. However, everyone is welcome to participate. And singing along is encouraged! There will, of course, be atmospheric music and refreshments available.
