Erich's birthday party takes a disastrous turn from the very beginning: Initially, most guests cancel, leaving only his wife Helga, his sister-in-law Evelyn, and her husband Hagen. This group is explosive, as old conflicts and not quite healed wounds lurk among the four, quickly resurfacing in the closed circle. And just as the argument escalates, Erich's mother-in-law Hetti arrives, adding more fuel to the fire... In Nick Walsh's black comedy "Enough is Not Enough," the comedic madness is repeatedly interrupted by tragic moments. The dialogues, which seem humorous and light at first glance, quickly reveal the inner tensions of the characters: the bitter Erich, the clumsy Hagen, the overweight Helga, and the self-satisfied Evelyn are walking a tightrope, the outcome of which is uncertain. A play that, with its sharp-tongued, bitter punchlines, keeps the audience pausing and often leaves laughter stuck in their throats.
