Alexis Grizard was born in 2002 in Jena. He began playing the piano at the age of ten. Since 2020, he has continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Olivier Latry, Michel Bouvard, and Thomas Ospital. Since 2021, he has also been studying Composition with Fabien Waksman, Thibault Perrine, and Thierry Escaich, and since 2024, he has been studying Improvisation with David Cassan. At the Concours d'Angers under the patronage of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in October 2023, Alexis received the Grand Prix Jean-Louis Florentz, the award for the best interpretation of a contemporary work, as well as the Audience Award. A year later, he won the 1st prize at the Concours Darasse in Toulouse in the category "Organ of the 20th Century." Beyond the classical repertoire, Alexis is passionate about organ transcriptions of orchestral works, the compositions of Jean-Louis Florentz, and the performance of new music. He regularly gives concerts as a soloist, in ensembles, or with orchestras. Among other performances, he has played two concerts as part of the complete works of Bach for organ at the Philharmonie in Paris. He is also featured at significant festivals, including "La Chaise-Dieu," "Toulouse les Orgues," and "Paris des Orgues."
