The two musicians Marius Staible and Daniel Roth are among the most exciting representatives of the young European accordion scene and have been honored with several awards, including the 1st prize at the "Val Tidone" chamber music competition, the "Franz Liszt Prize," and most recently the "John Cage Award" in 2025. With passion, precision, and unbridled curiosity, the duo continuously develops the sound of their instrument. Their repertoire combines works by Vivaldi and J.S. Bach with music by Astor Piazzolla, Sergei Rachmaninoff, John Cage, Steve Reich, as well as their own compositions. Here, technical brilliance meets fine humor, a willingness to take risks, and an intense musical dialogue.
