In the Harz region, the Walpurgis celebrations have become a popular tradition for decades: With witches and devilish antics around the mystical flickering fires, winter is finally driven away and spring is welcomed with joy and cheer. Join us on Thursday, April 30, to celebrate the legendary Walpurgis Night at the popular Altenauer Hexenkessel! Experience the mystical, smoking witch's cauldron and the rustic witch's hut as a photo spot! The Altenauer witch group "Hexen vom Bruchberg" will also be present again! Additionally, a large children's program, the live band "Two Voices and Friends," a Walpurgis game for the first time, and the May welcoming fireworks after the devil's speech and the appearance of the May queen await you! The best part: ENTRY IS FREE!

The mysterious Walpurgis market also beckons at the Altenauer Hexenkessel with hellish delicacies like devil's sausage, witch steak, and sweet treats. Beverages of all kinds will be provided, and colorful cocktails will be bubbling in the cauldron!
