Lichterfest Altenau translates to "Light Festival Altenau" in English.

The Festival of Lights in Altenau will take place this year on Saturday, August 1, 2026, starting at 5:30 PM at the Okerteich Forest Swimming Pool. In addition to impressive illuminations and a special, romantic atmosphere, all visitors can look forward to a varied musical program, with a new figure laser show over the Okerteich at around 10:30 PM as the highlight of the evening. Around the Okerteich, guests will find a path of lights featuring various light installations and creative lighting elements that will be illuminated and lit up as darkness falls. The lights will reflect in the water of the lake, enchanting visitors during their stroll, as will the light ships, which will be launched on the pond for the fourth time at around 9 PM. The Festival of Lights will be accompanied by live musical performances. Admission: 6.00 euros at the box office, 5.50 euros in advance / admission with guest card. Children aged 7 to 14 will receive a light ship with their admission, which will be launched on the pond at around 9 PM. Additional light ships can be purchased on-site.
