The shamanic path of growth through trauma

Psychology defines trauma as an overwhelming event that impairs a person's functioning and well-being. In traditional shamanic practice, however, an overwhelming event is seen as a strengthening experience that provides the individual with tools and insights to cope with life. This training offers traditional tools and techniques that have been used in trauma treatment for ages and are as effective today as they were in the past. Childhood traumas are addressed with a step-by-step guide; afterwards, training is provided on responsible and effective application. Adult traumas are processed differently. The process involves reworking the trauma narrative and rewiring the brain to respond differently to trauma triggers. This specialized training is aimed at therapists, holistic practitioners, process facilitators, and others who wish to utilize the tools and techniques taught to recognize and harness the life-affirming energy from the trauma narrative so that it can unfold.
