Exhibition Opening With the start of construction of the Reichswerke "Hermann Göring," tens of thousands of people – voluntarily or under coercion – came to the area of today's Salzgitter. Many of those displaced were already victims of Nazi persecution before. But what was the situation like before the construction began? And what is known about those who came here voluntarily? There were also people among the local population who were persecuted due to their political beliefs or their resistance. The exhibition is dedicated to the victims from Salzgitter and commemorates their fates.
