5th German Olympic Marathon

This year, the 5th German-Olymp-Marathon will take place. It is a privately organized race without any commercial background. Therefore, please do not expect perfect marathon organization with a "worry-free package." This year, the race will again be held in favor of the "Förderverein Zoo in der Wingst e. V." The donations will be used to optimize the living conditions of the animals in the zoo, for example, by expanding or renovating enclosures or creating additional activities for the animals. The net proceeds from the event will benefit the association 100%. Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026 Start of Marathon and Marathon Relays: 10:00 AM Start of Half Marathon: 12:00 PM. Competitions: Half Marathon: 16 laps (21.472 km, approx. 750 meters of elevation) Marathon: 32 laps (42.944 km, approx. 1,500 meters of elevation) Marathon Relay: 2 to 4 participants. Relays can divide their laps and running times as they wish. Course: Circular route through the Wingster Kurpark and up the access road to the German Olymp. Course length: 1,342 meters. The course will be run counterclockwise. Registration: Online registration until Wednesday, March 4, 2026, or until the participant limit (50 spots) is reached.
