Stroll through the Germanic camp and observe as the fisherman mends his nets, listen to the craftsmen's explanations, and relax with a glass of mulsum. Our program leaves no wish unfulfilled. Immerse yourself in the vibrant activities between the tents and engage in conversation. In the Olympics of LEGIO XXI RAPAX, not only are combat techniques and marching formations practiced, but the entertaining games of the legionnaires also provide fun for young and old alike. And we will conduct a test: What protected the Roman soldiers best? A shin armor, chainmail, or scale armor? Right next door, the skilled archer almost always hits his target. The Germans also showcase their skills in fencing demonstrations, leaving both young and old visitors in awe. Merchants present their finely crafted handicrafts. From ancient jewelry to intricately made shoes and paintings – here, looking over the shoulder makes the past tangible.
