Exhibition - A Daughter

Exhibition at the Town Hall: "A Daughter" Over the next six months, we will see linocuts by Sarah Schröder in the Small Gallery at the Historical Town Hall. The artist, who grew up on a farm in Kehdingen, discovered printmaking about ten years ago. Under the artist name "Frau Schröder druckt," she has become an integral part of the art scene in and around Stade. Inspired by the Buxtehude artist Britta Lange El Harake, Sarah Schröder has found her preferred means of expression in the techniques of linocut, etching, and typography. The medium of paper is referred to by the artist as the "staple food" of her art. Now, she is venturing into new territory for the Town Hall exhibition and is showcasing large-format prints on fabric. Out of curiosity about the work of other artists in the field of printmaking, Sarah Schröder browses books related to print art and visits many exhibitions—for her own learning and exchange.
