The musical catalog of Genesis is as diverse as it is fascinating. For many decades, the band from rural southern England has significantly shaped the prog rock of the early 70s to the stadium rock-pop of the 80s and 90s worldwide. Fans have been able to look back on a discography that is as versatile as a Rubik's Cube – from complex and colorful prog fireworks like "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight" or "Abacab" to radio hits like "No Son of Mine" and "Jesus He Knows Me," and ballads like "Hold on My Heart." Bringing such a diverse mix of works convincingly and authentically to the stage is no easy task, but "Geneses" has been successfully mastering it for over 10 years now. After their successful anniversary tour, Europe's most versatile Genesis tribute show is going on another major tour across Germany, once again aiming to illuminate all facets of the Rubik's Cube called Genesis – All Sides Live Revisited! A Perfect Tribute to Genesis The band pays tribute to the varied character of their idol and impresses with instrumental excellence – Martin Hoppe as a top-notch guitarist, Jonathan Reitze on keyboards, which were as influential for Genesis as for hardly any other band of their time, Richard Schaeffer on bass, who celebrates understated coolness like Mike Rutherford, the fantastic Kim Schwarz on drums, typically supported in classic Genesis style by Jacob Hansen on the second drum kit, and their singer, Jean-Michael Brinksmeier. It becomes particularly clear with the latter: this is not just an attempt at a mere copy of the British rock band Genesis, but an emancipated homage presented by six accomplished musicians. Not to forget a light show that superbly enhances the effect of the songs, such as when a veil of light eerily floats through the band during "Home By The Sea" or when white flashes cut through the audience in accordance with the intensity of "Land Of Confusion." And then there’s the cherry on top that ultimately breaks all barriers of enthusiasm: the drum duet between Schwarz and Hansen, reminiscent of the legendary Wembley concert of 1987 during the "Invisible Touch Tour," when Phil Collins and Chester Thompson pounded the drums for six minutes before the entire band joins in for the finale – let someone else try to replicate that; "Geneses" has set the bar high!
