FLOODS at Night

An installative and interactive theater project FLOODING by Day A landscape of apples in the sunshine: The furrows in the ground, carved by the water, sparkle. Clouds drift over the audience. The sounds of birds can be heard all around. A gentle breeze is audible. Water bowls with hermit crabs are scattered throughout the room. The crabs crawl out of their shells and tentatively search for food. As soon as a person approaches, they immediately retreat into their homes. The large and small visitors are invited to discover and observe, to marvel and to understand. Then the apple landscape darkens, and a roaring sound can be heard from next door. A storm is brewing... The project "FLOODING" is an intermedial theater project that brings the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea closer to visitors aged 3 and up. For this, we transfer a mudflat hike into the interior of the small theater Lazarett in Aurich. FLOODING by Night Experiencing the vastness of the sea and discovering the small creatures within it is something we as adults hardly find time for, yet we are just as fascinated as children. Therefore, we also offer the project "FLOODING" as an evening event. In "FLOODING by Night," you have the time to embark on a journey through the Wadden Sea with us and simply let the Wadden Sea guide explain and show you the various installations. "FLOODING by Night" provides the opportunity to converse with experts from the Wadden Sea National Park Administration in Wilhelmshaven. A time for you to simply relax and rediscover the beauty of our natural heritage.
